Valorization of Raw and Calcined Chicken Eggshell for Sulfur Dioxide and Hydrogen Sulfide Removal at Low Temperature

چکیده
Chicken eggshell (ES) is a waste from the food industry with high calcium content produced in substantial quantity very limited recycling. In this study, eco-friendly sorbents raw ES and calcined were tested for sulfur dioxide (SO2) hydrogen sulfide (H2S) removal. The was SO2 H2S adsorption at different particle size, without membrane layer. Raw then subjected to calcination temperatures (800 °C 1100 °C) produce oxide. effect of relative humidity reaction temperature gases also ES. Characterization raw, calcinated spent confirmed that CES (900 showed best capacity both (3.53 mg/g) (2.62 gas. Moreover, presence 40% inlet gas, improved greatly about 11.68 mg/g 7.96 respectively. chemisorption plays an important role process pollutants. results indicated can be used as alternative sorbent

Vasodilatory effects of nitric oxide, hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide in rats: Time-dependent interaction study
The vasodilator response of nitric oxide (NO), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) were studied todetermine the significance of the actions and interactions of these gasotransmitters for controlling aortic tone in rats. The isometric tension of five separate sets of experiments was recorded. Sodium nitroprusside (SNP; NO donor), sodium disulphide (Na2S; H2S donor), SO2 derivatives a...
متن کاملAdsorption of Hydrogen Sulfide at low temperature
From an ecological perspective is biogas an important source of energy. It is produced from fermentation of organic material, e.g. household waste and wastewater sludge. The composition of the gas depends on the raw material and varies between 65-85% methane, 15-35% carbon dioxide and small amounts of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. To use the biogas it is important to purify it from hydrogen sul...
متن کاملThe Use of Raw and Thermally-Modified Calcareous Sludge Generated in Stone Cutting Industry for Sulfur Dioxide Removal
Management of solid wastes is considered as an economic and environmental issue in the building stone industry. The current study uses raw and calcined calcareous sludge, generated in the stone cutting factories, in order to remove sulfur dioxide. Sludge characterization has been performed, using X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-d...
